The ski resort opened in 1989 and has a total of 33 slopes and 11 lifts, with an elevation difference of 840 meters. Here you will find slopes varying in difficulty levels - there is something for every taste and skill level.

Kvitfjell also has an excellent cross-country ski trail network with 600 kilometers of groomed trails, which vary in length and difficulty. Here you can experience nature up close in peaceful surroundings and quiet nature.

For those who like to feel the adrenaline rush, it is recommended to try dog sledding, sledding, or a snowmobile ride. If you want a unique and relaxing way to experience the sensational winter landscape, there are also opportunities to take a horse and sleigh ride.

Although Kvitfjell is best known for winter sports activities, there are also plenty of exciting activities to experience in the summer. Kvitfjell has a network of bike trails suitable for both experienced and less experienced riders. Here you can cycle through beautiful forests and open mountain landscapes, and experience the mountain's beautiful colors up close.

There is also great hiking terrain in the area, with marked hiking trails. Along the Peer Gynt trail, there are countless opportunities for shorter and longer hikes. Here you can enjoy beautiful nature, silence, and views of Gudbrandsdalslågen, Rondane, and Kvitfjell's alpine ski facility. The mountain lakes in the area are perfect if you want a refreshing swim, or want to explore the mountain lake on your own in a boat.

If you want to swing your golf clubs in beautiful mountain surroundings, Kvitfjell's 9-hole golf course is recommended. The golf course is located in the middle of the mountain landscape and offers a unique golf experience. If you are looking to push your limits, you can try ziplining or rappelling down the mountain side.

Food and drink at Kvitfjell

Kvitfjell offers a wide range of restaurants and cafes that serve both Norwegian and international cuisine. One of the most popular restaurants is Gudbrandsgard Hotel, which offers a varied menu and fantastic views of the mountains.

If you want to try traditional Norwegian food, there are several local restaurants that serve dishes such as fårikål, raspeballer, and rakfisk. These dishes are part of the Norwegian cultural heritage and are definitely worth trying while you are at Kvitfjell. Other options include Kvitfjell Pizza, Fjellstuene Restaurant, Pøbben, and Vinkelstuggu Cafe and Restaurant.
